The Shine Interview App is compatible with Android devices from version 7 upwards. Please note that due to the large volume of Android devices and hybrid operating systems, the App may not work on every Android device, in particular tablets.
As with any application, to optimise performance after downloading our App, we recommend you;
- Close all other open applications before commencing your recording.
- Disable any auto locks and push notifications that may interrupt your recording.
- Please ensure your battery indicator is green and not red.
The aim is to free up memory on your device that may be allocated elsewhere. By taking these steps before you start, you should then be able to concentrate on your responses without any interruptions.
NOTE:
If you have a device which is running Android 13, there have been a number of reports that the Shine App is incompatible. If you are experiencing such issues, please look at using an alternative device such as a version of Android not 13, or a different phone or a Windows computer and complete your interview via our browser version.
If you do not have acccess to another device, you can download and install our APK package onto your phone to install the App onto your phone manually. You can access the APK (ZIP file) from clicking here *
